Historical atlas
Explore events and connections across places and time
Lekishi is a browser atlas for reading history in place. The current build is the technical foundation: the globe, selection, timeline, and responsive workspace are complete, and the historical contract that reviewed content will arrive through is versioned and tested.
Globe first
A bundled CesiumJS globe with Natural Earth II imagery and ellipsoid terrain. No provider account, token, or ion dependency.
Time as evidence
Uncertain occurrences keep their whole supported span. Playback advances a playhead inside a fixed window and stops at its end.
Sources stay visible
The versioned historical contract keeps citations, uncertainty, calendar precision, and reuse terms with the record they describe.
Synthetic fixture
The atlas currently renders placeholder events used to exercise selection, time filtering,
camera following, and the responsive layout. They are not historical content and must not be
cited as evidence. Reviewed content arrives through the versioned lekishi-historical-contract/v0 schemas, examples, and adversarial vectors.
